- Day 1. Drive from kitale to chorlim gate. Trek for 12kms to mutamaiyo camp 2900m
- Day 2. Trek to the road end 12kms, 3500m for overnight.
- Day 3. Early morning walk to attempt the koitobos summit 4220m and descend to roadend for lunch then farther down to mutamaiyo for overnight.
- Day 4. Exit the mountain via chorlim gate and back to Nairobi
